President Obama

America has it's first African American president in its history. Also, the first African American leader from the entire "western" world. History was made right before your eyes. What do you think?

I don't know.. I don't think we really see the importance of this event. In time I think we will, because if we look back at someone who was president or an awesome event that happened we might have wanted to be there, right?

We're in for some trouble.

Anonymous said...

We may not be yet but just wait.

I think that Obama is extremely inexperienced and we're doomed!!!!

I think it is a major step for African Americans to be treated fairly and with the respect they deserve.

It infuriates me to know that a person who has barely done anything for this country can become president.

Obama was elected solely on skin color, NPR was taking to an frican american and he said "I never thought that we would have a black president in my life." that clearly states this election and its results are based around skin color.

McCain was beaten and tortured in Vietnam as a POW. He sacrificed himself so we can vote in elections and worship our own religion. He deserves this presidency but everyone in this country CANNOT SEE WHAT HE HAS DONE FOR US.

KEVIN!
WE ARENT IN TROUBLE.
AND JOHN!

it was not based solely based on skin color. Thats ridiculous. Really, McCain would have won if thats the case because people are really rascist and some worry that he will be shot so yeah. Its something I could argue about forever. And McCain, haha. Man. I don't know he is just.. interesting. Yeah he might have been in the war and sacrificed his life.. but so have millions of other people. Anyone could have ran for president that served in the army. Obama deserves this. Im not really saying McCain is a bad president or anything but.. Yeah.

And John, what other presidents did something for our country BEFORE presidency, that you know of? And I think Obama knows there is a risk of him being assasinated and he took that chance. Im not saying that will happen but just think about it.

Anonymous said...

we may not be but just wait.

Anonymous said...

Why does obama deserve this?

Anonymous said...

Never said you were rascist!
And yeah those things might be true but think of all the other 40 presidents.. and you arent done typin but I CAN SEE U! Yeah im going back to class now.

Anonymous said...

there has been more than 40 presidents.

John and Kevin you think because McCain is older he is more experience but that means nothing Obama has great ideas he wants change and he is young so he wants what is best for the future of America. These old guys don't really care about the future because soon they will die. Just look at the last old guy we had Bush and look what he got us into.

Anonymous said...

I don't think McCain has more experience because he is older Joe.

what katie?!?

-Eisenhower was a 5 star general

-Ulysees S. Grant was the Gen. of the Union

-of course George Washington who was a general in the American Revolution

-George H. W. Bush was a pilot that risked his life to help his comrade in battle (WWII)

-Teddy Roosevelt fought in the Spanish American war and defended this country

-John F. Kennedy was involved in the fighting of WWII

-Andrew Jackson and Zachary Taylor help defend our country from the British in the war of 1812.

IT IS PLAIN OUT RIDICULOUS TO THINK THAT BARELY ANY PRESIDENTS HAVE NOT RISKED THEIR LIFE FOR THIS COUNTRY
BECAUSE THEY HAVE

*all these took place before presidency

Nice, Joe. That might not necessarily be true but I see your point about Bush, man. He has been president almost our whole lives and I can't wait to see a change.. or can I? Just because I'm for Obama doesn't mean I can't worry or think the change could be bad

Anonymous said...

Well it doesnt mean Obama isnt worthy of being president. You don't have to risk your life to become president and obviously people aren't really bothered by that fact, as you can see.

Anonymous said...

SERIOUSLY, Joe you think john mccain does not care for this country.
That is one of the most mean and horrible comment you could make. He cares because he can still influence the future of this country.

STOP MAKING AN ISSUE ABOUT JOHN MCCAIN'S AGE.

Anonymous said...

You can't blame it all on Bush the congress has had a majority democrats they could have not allowed what happened.

Anonymous said...

JOHN IT IS AN ISSUE.
To some people it is, you must see that. I bet that is one huge factor for this election. And don't i recall you saying something mean and inconsiderate about Obama like he was.. communist?

Anonymous said...

Joe, if john McCain didn't care about our country then why would he have been in the army and why would he run for president.

Anonymous said...

STOP! Bush was a good president and he still is. All this happened because the DEMOCRATS in congress back when Reagan was president made a big uproar when they found out that Reagan was sending little hit teams to assassinate terrorists in different places of the world. Now if the president would do anything like that he would get impeached; and now there are millions of reporters ready to ruin this country's tactics around the globe by letting the whole world know what we are planning to do by using CSPAN, a worldwide network

If the democrats would not have done that we would not of had to be in Iraq, so dont go blaming Bush, blame all the democrats, because it is MOSTLY their fault

we are in Iraq also because our intelligence team gave falsified information to the Bush admin. so that we could declare war and kill the major terrorists

Anonymous said...

The war is a mistake.

Anonymous said...

that is going a little far. if you can prove to me that i called Obama communist ill believe you. But ill say right now that calling Obama a communist is:

1) mean and inconsiderate
&
2) relaying false rumors

Anonymous said...

I agree with John it can't just be bush's fault the democrats didn't help the situation at all.

Anonymous said...

Obama is kind of got slightly communist things.

Anonymous said...

And John, Bush suggested them, think about that. Even if the democrats didn't pass them Bush suggested them. He had bad ideas.

Anonymous said...

Kevin, tell me how he is communist because that makes no sense to me.

And my bad John, I meant Kevin about the communist thing I put you instead of his name.. blonde moment.

Anonymous said...

You still can't blame bush

Anonymous said...

You may not be able to blame Bush...but 63,000,000 voters have

Greco said...

And the communist thing is ignorance. If you think Obama has communist views, you need to do some book learnin' about communism.

Anonymous said...

63,000,000+ voters have also elected him

Anonymous said...

what do you mean they have elected him? THEY TAKE IT BACK. Thats what approval ratings are for, showing how much people approve of them. And yes, Communism doesnt really make sense for describing OBAMA.

Anonymous said...

John,

You really shouldn't bring President Grant up either...that man was one of the most corrupt, dispicable presidents in history.

Anonymous said...

you can't take votes back

Anonymous said...

John you are referring McCain to Bush the last time I thought it was a heard that I thought it was a bad thing.

Anonymous said...

well now we can be in a history book one day and be famous yeah!!!

John T said...

all i was doing was listing all the presidents that served this country.

good or bad.

John T said...

Gen. Grant had no intention of ruining this country. he was tricked by close family to appointing a sick, twisted individual to help ruin the credit backed economy and get themselves rich. not his fault
