It appears as though Obama is clearly going to win the popular vote. However, as we all know, the popular vote doesn't directly elect the president. What do you think would happen if Obama won the popular vote by something like 53-47% but McCain won in the electoral college? Imagine...Obama winning by 5-6 million total votes but still losing!!! Obviously if you're a McCain supporter you would be okay with that!
Would there be riots in the streets of cities? Would we be changing the constitution to get rid of the electoral college? Imagine the TV coverage of that!!!

I dont think there would be riots in streets or a constitutional amendment happening. I could be wrong, there have been riots and there have been constitutional amendments, so we will see. The electoral college has usually gone along with the popular vote, but this is a very, very different election; anything is possible.
yeah i think riots is a pretty strong thing. yes people will get mad but they will have to deal. the constitution hasn't change at all since it has been written so i really don't think ant thing will happen
